Xi Wu works as a Postdoctoral Researcher in East China Normal University. Dr. Wu graduated from Faculty of Education, University of Western Ontario (Western University), Canada. As an experienced teacher, Dr. Wu taught English language (as a secondary language) in a Chinese college and a Canadian secondary school for more than ten years. Dr. Wu also worked as a teaching assistant in courses, such as comparative and international education, educational leadership in University of Western Ontario.
Research Interests and Experience
Dr. Wu’s research interests focus on comparative and international education, transnational education, globalizing English language education, applied linguistics, and educational equity. She employs qualitative approaches to research on learning and self-making of Chinese international students in transnational contexts as well as diverse Chinese learners’ responses to globalizing (English language) curriculum.
