The Institute of International and Comparative Education at East China Normal University (IICE), founded in 1964 as Center for Research on education in Western Europe and North America, is now one of the most important academic bases for policy-making consultation, talent cultivation and international collaboration and communication.
For over 50 years, The IICE has served the education community through research on education systems in different countries, western thoughts of education, curriculum and instruction, and educational policy among nations and international organizations. Our institute has a long history of academic collaboration and communication with UNESCO, OECD, USA, UK, German, France, Japan, Canada, Spain, Australia and so on. Famous scholars in our institute promote academic prosperity and education modernization in China.
The IICE has 15 academic staff, focusing their research on contemporary education theory, frontiers in educational policy and practice, and Sino-western educational tradition. IICE has Master and PhD. programs in comparative education, committing to develop educational researcher and innovator with International mindedness and local awareness.
