Shanghai Engineering Research Center of
Digital Education Equipment
In June 2010, the Shanghai Municipal Science & Technology Commission approved the formal establishment of “Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Digital Education Equipment” (referred to as ERCDEE). Then, ERCDEE was incorporated into “985” project developement platform of East China Normal University. Under the strong support of the Shanghai Municipal Science & Technology Commission and East China Normal University, ERCDEE was formally accepted by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission in June 2012. ERCDEE has made many achievements in the area of educational informationization and digital education equipment.
ERCDEE initially built a R&D Center with a total area of 1,000 square meters. At the same time, ERCDEE integrated domestic academia, industry experts and professors of East China Normal University, and formed a technical committee of 11 experts, an advisory committee of 5 experts, as well as a professional R&D team composed of 3 professors, 5 associate professors, more than 10 doctors and 40 master and doctoral graduate students.
ERCDEE integrated learning technology, cognitive psychology and information technology and other related theoretical fields. It focused on “education information system engineering” discipline theory and methods, built a complete discipline theory to solve the core and common key technical issues of modern digital education equipment industry. Up to now, ERCDEE has received or applied for a total of 55 intellectual property rights. In addition, ERCDEE has a strong lead in the area of decision-making consulting, planning and development of information technology standards in China.
ERCDEE is the leader in innovation, collaboration and the integration of production and research. It actively carries out the application work of scientific research, product development and application promotion. The tasks of ERCDEE are promoting the development of modern educational information service industry, digital learning service industry, digital education content industry and digital education equipment industry. ERCDEE made a contribution to the development of national education informationization and promotion of the establishment of learning society.
