Delegation from The University of Auckland, New Zealand Visits Faculty of Education

On June 12th, 2019, Dean of Faculty of Education and Social Work, The University of Auckland, New Zealand, Prof. Mark Barrow and his colleague Prof. Lawrence Zhang visited Faculty of Education, and attended a meeting with representatives from Faculty of Education, including Yuan Zhenguo (Dean of Faculty of Education), Yang Fuyi (Associate Dean of Faculty of Education), Li Jiacheng (Director of Shanghai Municipal Institute for Lifelong Education), Huang Chen (Director of Administration Office of Shanghai Municipal Institute for Lifelong Education), Qiu Yue (Director of the International Affairs Division),and Xu Cheng (Officer of International Exchange Division of ECNU).

First of all, on behalf of Faculty of Education, Dean Yuan Zhenguo welcomed Dean Mark Barrow, and invited him to attend the second Global Education Deans’ Forum, which will be held at the end of October this year. During the meeting, Dean Mark Barrow gave a detailed introduction to The University of Auckland and Faculty of Education and Social Work, including its geographical location, professional ranking and discipline characteristics. Dean Yuan Zhenguo mainly explained the “International Academic Exchange Week” project with educational institutes of top universities in the world, hoping to establish collaboration with the Faculty of Education and Social Work, The University of Auckland, conduct exchange projects, and promote deeper cooperation. Moreover, Yuan Zhenguo also communicated with the guests about the situation of the School of Critical Studies in Education under the Faculty of Education and Social Work. Li Jiacheng also briefly introduced  the academic collaborations with the Faculty of Education and Social Work, The University of Auckland in early years, and expressed expectations to further exchange and cooperation with distinguished scholars of the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
