Introduction |
Shi Weiping is a professor and the director of the Institute of Vocational and Adult Education. His scholarly interests include international comparative study of vocational education, vocational education policy, vocational education curriculum, vocational education development strategy, modern vocational education system, higher vocational education, vocational education and rural development strategy, comparative study of vocational training and employment policy, teachers’ professional development in vocational schools or colleges, leadership of principals in vocational schools or colleges, comparative education theories and research methods, etc. His recent articles include “Modern Apprenticeship and the Training of Migrant Workers from Rural Areas,” “Workplace Learning in International Perspective: Characteristic and Mechanism,” and “Curriculum Theory Study of Linking-up Secondary with Higher Vocational Education.” Recently, he published a few books named Annual Report of Vocational Education Development in China: 2011, Curriculum Development for Vocational Education, and Comparative Vocational and Technical Education.
