On November 8th, 2017, a delegation from University of East Anglia (UEA) visited the Faculty of Education, ECNU. Prof. Richard Andrews (Dean of the School of Education and Life-long Study, UEA) and Dr. Cheng Ming from UEA attended a meeting with the representatives from the Faculty of Education of ECNU, including Prof. Yuan Zhenguo (Dean of the Faculty of Education) and Yang Fuyi (Director of the International Affairs Division of the Faculty of Education).
The two sides introduced the overview of their education disciplines, specialties and key research fields for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, etc. Then, they discussed about “1+1+1” a sandwich-cultivation mode for postgraduates and joint guidance for PhD scientific research. During this meeting, they reached a preliminary agreement on the exchange and cooperation in the education field between the two sides.
After the conference, Prof. Richard Andrews delivered an academic speech titled “Argumentation in Higher Education” for teachers and students from the Faculty of Education in Room 104, Arts Building. The speech sharing was hosted by Director Yang Fuyi.
