Prof. Clifton F. Conrad of the University of Wisconsin holds academic lectures at Faculty of Education

On October 9, 2016, Prof. Clifton F. Conrad, winner of the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor Award, professor at The University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Education, gave a lecture entitled “The New Perspective of Teaching in the twenty-first Century”. More than 70 teachers and students Faculty of Education attended the lecture


Professor Conrad started from the philosophy of teaching to explore characteristics of learning space and its construction, and compared teaching models for objectivism and constructivism; he also took an educational institution which serves for ethnic minorities as an example to analyze Innovative teaching practice theory based on the diversity background of the United States. In the interactive session, Professor Conrad discussed some issues concerning teacher education, teaching and learning on education with participants. Teachers and students benefited a lot from the lecture as well as the energetic discussion .
