Delegation from the University of Dar es Salaam Visits the Faculty of Education, ECNU

On the morning of June 5, 2018, a delegation from the University of Dar es Salaam,Tanzania, represented by Professor William Andey Lazaro Anangisye, president of UDSM, Professor Method Samwel Semiono, acting dean of the College of Education, Geofrey Felix Kalumuna, officer in charge of international cooperation and Jackson Isdory, officer for the Public Relations Project, visited the Faculty of Education, ECNU. Professor Yuan Zhenguo, dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Yang Fuyi, director of the International Affairs Division of the Faculty of Education, and Yan Feiyi from the International Exchange Division of ECNU were also present. This visit aimed to explore new cooperation in various aspects, such as teaching and research in the education field and the exchanges between students and staff members.


During the meeting, both sides introduced their disciplines’ settings in the field of education. Most importantly, they discussed how to improve cooperation between the two universities in various aspects, for example, staff exchanges, short-term student exchanges, and the recommendation of outstanding students to ECNU to pursue a doctorate in education.


ECNU signed the Memorandum of One-to-one Cooperation with the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in February 2010, under the framework of China-Africa “20+20” Colleges Cooperation Program. The two sides have carried out cooperation in talent training, scientific research and staff exchanges for several years. Professor William Anankisser, was elected as the new president of UDSM in December, 2017. And this was his first place to visit among all the cooperating universities.
