Japan-China Graduate Forum on Educational Research Is Held Successfully by University of Tsukuba and East China Normal University

On March 13th, 2019, the Japan-China Graduate Forum on Educational Research was held by the Faculty of Education, ECNU and the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences , University of Tsukuba. Professo and Deputy Director Takeda Yoshida of the School of Education,), Professor Hirofumi Hamada, Professor Kiyoshi Karaki, Associate Professor Takashi Ueda, and 7 graduate and Ph.D students attended the meeting.

Professor Yang Fuyi, (Director of the International Affairs Division of the Faculty of Education), Professor Wu Zunmin and Associate Professor Huang Xiangyang from the Department of Education Science, Professor Shen Xiaomin from the School of Teacher Education, Associate Professor Li Mei from of Institute of Higher Education), Associate Professor Qiu Weihua from the Department of Educational Management, Dr. Shi Lili from Shanghai Municipal Institute for Lifelong Education and 8 graduate and Ph.D students attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Shi Lili.

In the beginning, Director Yang Fuyi warmly welcomed the delegation from University of Tsukuba. He briefly introduced the development and internationalization of the Faculty, and expressed his intention for future international communication and research collaborations.

Then, 8 graduate students from the Faculty of Education delivered their reports respectively, while 6 graduate students from University of Tsukuba shared their researches as well. These reports were divided into five categories, which were higher education, education administration, moral education, home-school relations, and children’s education. Professors present gave their views and comments.

Director Yang Fuyi made a conclusion of the meeting. He believed that this kind of exchange meeting showed the interdisciplinarity and diversity of educational disciplines, characteristics of the research models and styles. He highly commented the excellent performances of the students. Such exchange meeting was of great significance for broadening international horizons of teachers and students.

After the meeting, Professor Hirofumi Hamada made an admission presentation of the University of Tsukuba to ECNU graduate students.
