Recruitment Seminar of the 2018 Double-Degree Program of Postgraduate Students Jointly Trained by East China Normal University and Syracuse University in USA Is Held at the Zhongbei

In the afternoon of April 10th, 2018, the recruitment talk of the 2018 Double-degree Program of Postgraduate Students Jointly Trained by the Faculty of Education of East China Normal University and the School of Education of Syracuse University in USA was held at the Zhongbei Campus, ECNU. Professor Yang Fuyi, director of the International Affairs Division, and Zhang Guwen, a postgraduate student from the Education Management Development, were invited by Instruction Affairs Division of the Faculty of Education to introduce the contents of the project. Zhao Qi, deputy director of theInstruction Affairs Division, presided over this seminar.

At the beginning of the lecture, everyone watched the video sent by Qian Yi, a postgraduate student from the Educational Information Technology Department, who is currently receiving the training of the project at Syracuse University. The video showed her life at Syracuse University, which also helped students to learn about Syracuse University. Subsequently, Director Yang Fuyi explained the detailed contents of this project to the students, such as the aspects of the school profile, curriculum design and application notices of Syracuse University, and also reminded them of the deadline of the application. Then, Zhang Guwen, a postgraduate student from the Education Management Department shared the experience of studying abroad from the reasons for choosing Syracuse University, the preparation and the suggestions for living in Syracuse, etc. After the lecture, Yang Fuyi and Zhang Guwen also answered questions raised by the listeners.

In order to further promote the internationalization of talent training since September 2016, the Faculty of Education of East China Normal University and the School of Education of Syracuse University in America have reached a cooperation agreement to carry out the joint-training project of the postgraduate students in fields like pedagogy and curriculum, instructional design, development and evaluation, educational leadership and cultural foundations of education. Instruction Affairs Division has carefully organized this seminar, aiming to build an international training platform for more students to participate in the program.
