Recently, the Shanghai Education Commission announced the winning list of the 2017 Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award, in which the Faculty of Education, ECNU has received a fruitful result. In the general categories of higher education and basic education, ECNU has won 50 awards, and among these awards the Faculty of Education occupies 9, accounting for 18% of the total number of awards. The Faculty of Education has won two grand prizes, three first prizes, and four second prizes. In the general category of higher education, the whole school has won three grand prizes, one in the Faculty of Education. In the general category of basic education, the whole school has won ten prizes, seven in the Faculty of Education, among which there is only one grand prize in the whole school.
Shanghai Teaching Achievements Award, established by the Shanghai Government, is currently the highest award in the field of education in the Shanghai government, which is selected every four years. Since 2013, the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award has been divided into three categories: higher education, vocational education and basic education.
The good result of the Faculty of Education in the selection of the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award this year fully reflects the consistent down-to-earth and rigorous tradition of the vast number of teachers in the fields of talent training, scientific research and social services. It also reflects the unremitting efforts of the Faculty of Education in the reform of education and teaching. It is believed that it will play a good role in promoting the teaching quality and teaching research in the future.
